Inlet manifolds need to be complete flat as a lot use thin paper gaskets, custom made ones may require refacing due to the heat causing during tig or mig welding.

 Exhaust manifolds can warp just from normal cold/hot cycles. The TD5 exhaust manifolds pictured above is are prime examples.
But again a lot of newer exhaust gaskets are a MLS type which are very thin and require the manifold to be completely flat to seal correctly. 

Refaced Land Rover TD5 exhaust manifolds are usually  in stock.
£100 with free 24hr delivery  (normally on exchange basis – £30 refund when you return your old  exchange if uncracked/no tabs missing)

Local drop off service available or  courier your manifold  and we can arrange redelivery for a extra fee once it has been refaced.

We regularly reface Ford Pinto, Zetec E custom race manifolds and various diesel manifolds for plant/marine applications.

***Please note we can only reface manifolds upto 120mm wide and 475mm long!!! Although this covers most 4 – 5 cylinder applications***
